SoftMedia has been compiling databases on the US broadcast industry since 1989. The databases are updated quarterly from direct calls to station management and FCC records. The database is the most comprehensive list of broadcast stations available and includes management, emails, transmitter and tower and operational data.

With over 54,000 records, the Broadcast Community Zip Code database provides a detailed set of files covering demographic, technical and operational data by market area. When imported into a mapping software program you can create boundary maps of TV stations market coverage areas.

Canadian Broadcast TV Product Code 108
In the broadcast group, SoftMedia also provides a complete database for Canadian Television Stations. As with the US database, Canadian TV includes management and Email addresses. The Canadian Television and Radio database in contained in the same database. The Database has a datafield called ‘TYPE’ and this datafield should be used to identify the station as Radio or TV.

International Broadcast TV Product Code 107
SoftMedia’s international broadcast television database covers over 1,200 stations in over 108 countries. The databases are updated semi-annually and include Addresses, Telephone/Fax numbers and URL/Emails. The International database does not include management names, however we have had great success in using title addressing such as ‘Attention Technical Director..etc..’
